The cherry table, happily back home.

“We make it look, feel and perform just right…”

Here’s a recent specialty project that fully challenged our team. A ten foot long Shaker style cherry table badly in need of stripping and refinishing. We picked up the table right straight from the customer’s dining room, brought it to our shop, and spent a week with it.

The video shows the whole story, and the steps we took to remove the old finish, apply the new finish, and everything in between.

As with most services that we offer, the goal in furniture refinishing is to make whatever we are working on look like nothing ever happened, which we were able to achieve here. We removed about a decade’s worth of wear, tear and misfortune along with what was probably kind of a poor finish to begin with. Better than new, but with a timeless new lease on life.

The stripping and prep was meticulous, and the sprayed finish flawless. The wood snobs in the shop enjoyed the process and our customer was thrilled with the finished product.

If you have a special piece of furniture that you would like restored, settle for nothing less than a Topcoat furniture refinishing experience.
